Building A Community

Birth Team

Each birth is a sacred and miraculous time, something I consider an honor to be invited to attend.  I understand it is a deeply personal choice, deciding who will be present at your birth. It is important that you find someone with whom you trust and feel completely comfortable. You will be considering not only skills and competency, but also philosophy and personality.

As a Doula, I want to be all I can be for each and every client.  But I can't be everything. Your birth team may consist of physicians, nurses, midwives, Doulas, ministers/priests, massage therapists, family members, childbirth educators, lactation consultants, family members or social workers.  It's up to you to create this team. Some people want the room filled with people to support their every possible need.  Some people want the birth moment to be quiet, still and intimate, just between them and their spouse, and their new baby.

Like me, members in the Willow Birth Network believe Birth and Motherhood are sacred, that all moms and babies are unique and valuable, and deserve the best birth experience and beginning possible.  We are committed to providing quality care to all members of our community.

As such, we are willing to offer our services on a sliding scale, accept insurance when applicable, and negotiate payment plans or bartering when appropriate.
